Baby Matthew is Here!!

Our third child was welcomed in this world on December 6, 2009 at 4:42pm. He was named Matthew Nikolas and came in weighing 7 pounds, 11 ounces.

He is a great baby, he sleeps most of the night and doesn't cry unless a need is not met.

Little Chris thinks he is the best thing ever and tries to take care of him. Emma just smiles at him.

Couldn't be happier with the way things turned out.

The Joys of Potty Training

 We are currently in the process of teaching our 2 year old son to use the potty. I have been showing him that #2 goes in the potty by dumping his waste from his diaper in there. Then we flush it togather. Sounds simple right? WRONG!!

 He seems to think he needs to take it out of the diaper and then flush it. This usually happens at night when we assume he is so quiet because he is sleeping.

 I went in their rooms to check on them and make sure they were asleep. Emma was happily snoring away. I knew however as soon as I opened Chris door that he had decided to "play" in his diaper. So he gets up and brings me his waste, in his hand. Sigh. So we go to the potty and flush it. Then I have to rewash him before changing his sheets and putting him back to bed.

 I know this can only get easier, but when?!?!?

Slip & Fall

Sorry there was no post yesterday, this was due largely in part that I was in the hospital until late last night.

      I went to pick my children up from their daycare by myself. Yes, this was stupid considering my girth. So I walk in and my son's class is outside playing. My daughter's teacher seen me coming and decided to get her ready to go. So she is upset when I have to wait to get her until I get Chris from outside. I go to get him only to have him run inside while the teacher is telling me how bad he was. So I go in to find him and he runs off to an area for the older children that I am not too familiar with.
     So I take a step on the tiled floor and down I go. I landed right on my right foot. So now I can't find my son and can not get up on my own. The owner comes running out to help. Long story short I ended up going to the hospital to make sure everything was okay only to have the fall throw me in labor. 5 hours at the hospital with no progress and I was sent home. Sigh.

How do you fit a circle into a square peg?

Since my younger sister is getting married in January, we went bride's maid dress shopping today. Even though I am well over 9 months pregnant I waddled around the mall for 5 hours looking for the "perfect" dress. The first store we went to we found a simple black dress that I could actually try on. However the sizes we needed were not available. So on we went in search of "the" dress. So last stop of the day we find the perfect dress- available in all sizes that we need. However I can not even come close to putting the dress on. LOL!! So this is how I ended up with a dress in my closet that I pray will fit in January. :)
